D-Day has come and gone, and the Nazi war machine is collapsing back towards Berlin, but the Fog of War still lingers across France. Wilbert Alexander and his tank’s crew expect the rest of the war to be relatively quiet for them, an easy ride until they can all go back home. When they are sent to the small, French village of Demetier, however, things take a turn for the eerie. A strange, grey mist hangs over the entire village, and a series of strange clues linger in its depths. Spent shell casings…an SS Officer’s cap abandoned in the village tavern…footsteps and snatches of song echoing across the dead air. It is only when they find one lone survivor that they begin to uncover the terrifying truth: a savage act of cruelty committed in the village has cursed the whole place, and the fog is inhabited by the undead villagers, who want nothing but to take vengeance on the living!

Tasked with finding a US informant who has gone missing in the village of Hai Trang, Sergeant Reese and Corporal Hanson lead their squad off into the Vietnamese jungle, but it isn’t long before they get the sense that there’s something different about this mission. They find Viet Cong corpses along the path, strangely mummified or desiccated, and the village of Hai Trang itself turns out to be a ghost town. There, they find just one survivor – a young girl named Lai Anh – who tells them that everyone in the village has been destroyed by the “Vietnam Black”. Heading back to base, they stumble across a Viet Cong tunnel system, which they feel compelled to investigate. Crawling into the darkness, the squad discovers that a nightmarish creature has made the tunnels its home. The Vietnam Black, a colossal centipede, covered in impenetrable black armour, loaded with a highly poisonous venom, and armed with scythe-like mandibles has awoken. Now, Reese has to lead his squad back home, avoiding the North Vietnamese Army, the Viet Cong, the dangers of the jungle, and the Vietnam Black.

In the dead of night the U-616 – a Type VIIB U-Boat patrolling the British mainland in the early years of World War II – rescues a solitary survivor from a sunken ship. His story is so outlandish as to be unbelievable: a colossal shark – far too large even to be a Great White – hunting them for days before savaging straight through their hull and sinking them down into the ocean. Captain August Krauser is sceptical of the man’s story, but as the U-616 continues its patrol he is forced to admit that the danger lurking in the water is very real. Something impossibly large and ancient follows the submarine, bringing the two greatest hunters the North Sea has ever seen into an explosive confrontation.
