It was a horribly painful way to die and Retired DNR Officer Charlie Nickles stood witness to the entire attack, helpless to do anything to save him. He missed Kingfish and spent every day regretting what had happened. Yet, some small part of Charlie, that part deep inside his ex-lawman’s gut, told him he hadn’t seen the last of his game poaching friend. Meet the new Kingfish. Vivid Valley has become undead. So has Kingfish. He’s been in the very bowels of Vivid Valley Lake and he knows what’s at stake. Resurrected from the deep, murky waters, Kingfish returns a half man, half aquatic mutant and he’s back to convince Charlie to help him finish what they started and end the Dead Lake curse once and for all. But, the curse is spreading, infecting the wildlife, the cemeteries and the nearby townspeople. It’s no longer a battle; it’s a war for their lives and their souls against hordes of the undead. Kingfish and Charlie will put it all on the line as Dead Lake morphs into its ultimate mutation. Prepare for the undead assaul

Dead Lake Book 2 It has been three weeks since the attacks in Vivid Valley—attacks spawned when the curse of the ancient Adena tribe unleashed its fury and earned the area’s largest body of water the name ‘Dead Lake.’ The lake is now deserted. Many tourists and patrons have been swallowed up by hideous creatures knifing through the tainted waters. Others fled for their lives to avoid becoming the next meal of terrified human flesh. Now, after the desecrated remains of sacred burial grounds have poured out their wrath, the truth about Vivid Valley Lake is rising to the surface.

Hell has come to Vivid Valley Lake. Once tranquil, it has become overrun with tourists and outdoorsmen intent on abusing the waterways and depleting natural resources. Now, murders and mutilations are occurring at an alarming rate, atrocities so vile they defy any rational explanation. Residents are counting on Charlie Nickles, the DNR Officer known as ‘The Man Who Never Sleeps.’ Nickles learns an ancient curse has been unleashed in the valley and he’s forced to turn to a bitter rival for help. Together they hunt something never seen by scientists or anglers in any body of water—something vicious—something ravenous—something undead. Welcome to Dead Lake “Classic, pulp horror with teeth. Flooded towns, lost cemeteries, a murky lake, and floating torsos in the water – what more could you want! Murphy Edwards delivers up an unsavoury portion of fishy terror guaranteed to have you considering the desert as your next holiday destination.” Sean T. Page, Ministry of Zombies, Author of War Against the Walking Dead, Metahorde and The Official Zombie Handbook UK
