Night of the Batsquatch

Volcanoes have a long history of giving warnings, and none of them are gentle.

Mount St. Helens is waking, its cratered flanks trembling, and high on the mountain’s timbered shoulders the legend of the Batsquatch refuses to die. Whispered tales speak of a looming winged shadow, of hikers who vanish without a trace, of animal corpses left ravaged and drained, and of stories steeped in ancient blood. Some folks say the creatures rise when the volcano stirs, a harbinger of fire and devastation born from the earth’s fury. Skeptics scoff, and anyone reporting a sighting is branded a cryptid-chasing crackpot.

Liam has spent years guiding tourists through this volatile wilderness, pretending the stratovolcano is merely a landmark and not the source of his father’s secret obsession. He never fully believed the stories, despite the old man’s journal crammed with sketches, omens, and field notes from a hunt for the Batsquatch that never ended.

As seismic tremors rattle the ground and the first hints of an eruption build, a tourist is found torn apart on an observation platform. Rumors spread of a skyborne terror that descends from the smoke. The signs are aligning. Time is bleeding out, and the mountain is calling Liam to finish what his father started.

From the author of TRAGIC: A Cryptid Horror Thriller, HOWLER: Terror in the Ozarks, Crimson Falls: A Monster in the Mist, and Terror Lake comes a new thrilling horror-adventure novel. Fast-paced, tension-filled, and unyielding, Night of the Batsquatch plunges readers into a maelstrom of fire and fury where danger strikes without warning, and no one outruns the inferno.
