The mighty Kraken has been slain, but a far deadlier threat lurks in the Atlantic.
As a string of disasters unfold, former police chief Nico Medrano and marine biologist Denise Rita find themselves up against the ultimate challenge. The cargo ship Triumph has gone up in flames, numerous sailing vessels have been reported missing, and several mariners report a bizarre lightning storm taking place under the water.
Furthering their concern is the behavior of the 120-foot megalodon, O’Brien. The fish is on the hunt, not strictly for sustenance, but in search of a specific target: one that challenges his title as the alpha deep-sea predator.
As the situation grows dire, Nico, Denise, and O’Brien find themselves up against a creature powerful enough to bring the sea to a boil, cruel enough to make its victims suffer, and intelligent enough to develop strategy—the Electric Eel.
Following its reign of terror on Maxwell Island, the 130-foot serpentine beast seeks to become the dominant deep-sea predator. To do this, it must conclude a life-long blood feud with its megalodon adversary.
