Nevada Test Site, Area 12, 2016: Despite worldwide protests nuclear testing is resumed when a 1000 kiloton bomb is detonated. The radiation leaks deep beneath the desert into tunnels and underground rivers. The Mojave Desert, now: A terrifying monster emerges decimating anything and anyone in its way. The struggle to get from Kentucky to Thunder Bay will see some fall by the way side as violent encounters with the dead leave Hamsikker struggling to reach his sister. Whatever caused them to return was so fast that no one really knew how, or why, it happened. Jonas Hamsikker left Kentucky for the west coast after his mother passed away, leaving behind a cruel father and younger sister.
